According to Google trends, the search volume for businesses looking for copywriters has gone through the roof as you can see on the graph image above.
These businesses are searching for

Digital Copywriter
Marketing Copywriter
LinkedIn copywriter
And many, many more search terms.
So if you are a copywriter with no clients but want more clients what does that actually mean?
It can mean a few things.
You are not being found online or offline despite the searches?

Learn everything you can about the target marketplace that you can learn. Hang out with them. Speak their language.

Because you can blame what you like yet the reality is search is higher than it has ever been.
Why?
The lockdowns have created a sense of urgency. Business owners want their life back. This means they have to start making money. The only way they can make money is by increasing turnover. This means more people to spend in their business. This means creating more traffic. This means increasing conversation.

No wonder search is so high.
In my town, we had 100% business occupancy rate. Now I reckon it is 70% or less after lockdowns. Some are clearly thriving whilst others are clearly struggling.
This means they are looking for a solution. When anyone needs a solution they will pay more than usual to get something fixed faster.
I have never once since the late 90s with orangebeetle.com been short of a high-spend client.
